The brief
To design a linear riverbed park to link interior eco-development
with coastal systems and design a park around a sustainable
eco-development.
The design
Parque de Cataluña – the design is based
on the indigenous habitats of Cataluña and the
natural fluvial patterns of the riverbed course – temporary
interactive stormwater ponds are strategically located
to enhance the visitor experience and create landscape
diversification.
Parc de les Arts – terraced beds of indigenous
plants for flower cultivation/production and allotments
for food production for eco-restaurants are all linked
by an interactive sculpture trail partially covered by
'living' hanging trellis systems.
