The brief
To design with sustainable landscape criteria the external spaces in the regeneration project of the industrial dockland in the centre of the city.

The design
The sustainable design is based around the communication between the city and project spaces. Due to difficult level changes, a proposed island and existing railway lines splitting the site the underlying landscape had to bridge the gap to allow for the projects successful integration in the city structure. Simple hierarchy themes running through the proposed tree species selection helps define the spaces and movement lines – making the visual and physical connections.
